A moist Southern classic made with bananas, pineapple, and pecans, topped with rich cream cheese frosting – fruity, nutty, and irresistible.

Step 1: In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Step 2: In another bowl, whisk eggs and vegetable oil. Stir in mashed bananas, crushed pineapple, vanilla, and chopped pecans.
Step 3: Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
Step 4: Divide the batter into two greased and floured 20 cm (8-inch) cake pans. Bake at 175 °C (350 °F) for 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool completely.
Step 5: Prepare the frosting: beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, then vanilla. Beat until fluffy.
Step 6: Place one cake layer on a plate, spread frosting on top, then add the second layer. Frost top and sides. Garnish with extra pecans if desired.
